At CFO-Foundations, our primary objective is to help small businesses reach their full potential.

CFO-Foundations will help you establish priorities for your business, based on your unique circumstances. We strive for creative solutions and execute those strategies in an orderly way, with the end goal always being business growth and increased job satisfaction.

What’s with the name?

“CFO” stands for Call For Order. As a small business owner, day-to-day operations are likely to consume much of your time, leaving little room for necessary planning and strategy development. Businesses that experience rapid growth are prone to fall into a reactionary cycle, making it difficult to adequately plan for the future. We’ll help you establish an effective “call for order,” and develop models for controlled growth — giving you more time to focus on the big picture.

The CFO logo was inspired by an illustration that has been used by many people, including Bill Hybels and Stephen Covey. It has to do with the challenge of setting priorities. Imagine you were given three small jars: one filled with sand, another with pebbles, and the third with large rocks. You are then asked to fit them into larger container. The only way to make them all fit would be to start with the large rocks (high priorities), then add the pebbles (lower priorities), and finally add the sand (miscellaneous tasks that need to be followed through on).

Unfortunately, many business owners are forced to deal with a constant flow of “sand,” and they never get to the more important priorities. With over 23 years of sales and marketing experience, Walter has served in numerous leadership roles for local and international companies, including Christianity Today Int’l.
